Children’s Health Fund, founded in 1987 by pediatrician/child advocate Irwin Redlener, MD, and singer/songwriter Paul Simon, is committed to providing comprehensive health care to the nation’s most medically underserved children through the development and support of innovative primary care medical programs and the promotion of guaranteed access to appropriate health care for all children.

Children’s Health Fund realizes this mission through the energy and talent of our dedicated team of doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, nutritionists, and other clinical and support staff and our partnerships with esteemed academic medical centers and concerned corporate and individual sponsors.

Our areas of focus include:

* Flagship New York City pediatric programs for homeless and other medically underserved children;
* National Network of programs and affiliates in urban and rural communities around the country;
* Special Health Initiatives that target problems which disproportionally affect homeless, transient and low-income children;
* Public policy and advocacy programs that lobby for consistent, comprehensive health care for all children;
* Educational forums and media events that inform policymakers, health professionals and the public about the needs and barriers to health care experienced by disadvantaged children.

Children's Health Fund is passionate about our purpose and goal of supporting medically underserved children through direct primary health care and by functioning as a voice for disenfranchised families.

We encourage you to get to know us better and to better understand the cost-saving and life-enhancing benefits of quality health care for all children.
